This month, a federal court issued a landmark ruling protecting religious liberty in healthcare. In Bella Health and Wellness v. Colorado, Judge Daniel Domenico granted a permanent injunction allowing Catholic nurses to continue offering abortion-pill reversal treatment — despite a state law attempting to prohibit the practice.

Colorado’s government continues to challenge individuals’ faith and sincerely held beliefs. This case represents a bridge too far: restricting a treatment a patient may request, especially when progesterone has other widely accepted medical applications, undermines the core principles of religious freedom.
