Meet Andrew Nussbaum, Partner at First & Fourteenth

Andrew is one of Colorado’s leading young litigators, representing religious institutions, public figures, political organizations, and businesses in complex commercial, constitutional, and civil-rights disputes. He regularly appears in state and federal courts across the country, and his advocacy has been called “excellent,” “nothing short of brilliant,” and “compelling.”

His practice spans defamation, religious liberty, free speech and association, TABOR, legal ethics, and trade secrets. Clients include national religious institutions, universities, corporations, and public officials.

Andrew clerked for Chief Judge William H. Pryor Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and Judge Daniel Domenico of the U.S. District Court for Colorado. Before joining First & Fourteenth, he litigated national commercial cases at one of the world’s largest firms. He graduated first in his class from Tulane Law.

A fourth-generation Coloradan, Andrew teaches constitutional law at UCCS and serves on the board of Catholic Charities of Central Colorado. He’s also an officer of the Colorado Federalist Society and an enthusiastic — if self-described mediocre — trout fisherman.
