Erin brings broad-based litigation experience to First & Fourteenth. Before joining the firm, she practiced at a regional firm in Denver, where she handled matters across all phases of litigation—from pre-litigation settlement negotiations through discovery, dispositive motions, and appeals. Her work spanned a wide range of substantive areas, including breach of contract, environmental law, employment disputes, intellectual property, and real property matters.
In addition to her litigation practice, Erin has experience protecting clients’ intellectual property rights. She has guided clients through trademark registration and protection before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and World Intellectual Property Organization, and has safeguarded copyrights through strategic cease-and-demand efforts designed to protect and enforce creative works efficiently.
Erin has extensive experience drafting critical motions and handling appeals in both state and federal courts. She successfully obtained affirmance of a favorable ruling denying qualified immunity in a pro bono matter before the Tenth Circuit, taking the lead on briefing and presenting oral argument. She also played a key role in post-trial and appellate briefing in a complex construction dispute with $75 million at stake, helping defeat a motion seeking more than $15 million in attorneys’ fees and costs.
A graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Erin earned her J.D., graduating in the top one percent of her law school class, and received the Order of the Coif and Constitutional Rights & Remedies Certificate, along with a B.S. in Advertising with Honors and McCombs Business Foundations Certificate with High Distinction from the University of Texas at Austin. Before entering private practice, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Timothy M. Tymkovich of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Honorable Daniel D. Domenico of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
Active in the legal community, Erin serves as an Officer of the Colorado Division of the Federalist Society, a Board Member, Corporate Secretary, and “Tales from the Tenth” podcast co-host for the Tenth Circuit Historical Society, and a Civil Pro Bono Panel Committee Member with the Faculty of Federal Advocates. She is also a member of the IP Inn of Court, Minoru Yasui Inn of Court, and Colorado Women’s Bar Association.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, and attempting to fly fish.
