Julian represents sophisticated clients in appellate, political, and commercial matters. At the appellate level, he has developed winning strategies in cases involving constitutional law, administrative law, federal jurisdiction, employment, and statutory interpretation. He has appeared before appellate courts across the country and regularly files amicus briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court.
At the trial level, Julian serves as lead strategist in complex federal and state litigation, often parachuting into active cases to handle novel or first-impression issues in anticipation of appeal. His trial experience spans contract disputes, municipality law, constitutional law, campaign finance, federal permitting, the Endangered Species Act, federal maritime law, and water rights, among others.
Julian lives on a ranch in Elbert County with his wife and two sons where they operate a small farm-to-table beef operation and an equine breeding business called Bar E North.
