In a closely watched lawsuit brought by abortion providers against Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, First & Fourteenth and the Alliance Defending Freedom successfully moved to de-designate key documents the plaintiffs had labeled confidential including serious patient complaints that deserve public scrutiny.
The District Court ultimately sided with the principle of public access—ordering that the contested documents be made public with appropriate redactions.
